Friday Features: December 7th Edition

I’m popping in here quickly to post a wee bit, in between madly shopping for, creating, and sewing Christmas gifts.  I do this every year, realize that “YIKES!!!  Christmas is only ___ days away!!!”

Adding to my bit of panic is that I’m behind days and days, due to my back giving out on me Monday morning.  I was pretty much useless for most of the week.

Before all the pain and panic, though, I did get a new product up in my store, my 2013 Desktop Calendar Template.  It’s on sale for $2.99 for the first week.

And, The Male and I are almost done with the assembly of the 500 calendars for his business, too.   The March page with the hairy cow in the preview above is from our recent trip to Scotland, as are all the photos in this year’s edition.  It’s one of my favorite pages from the calendar.

Here’s a look at what our buffet looked like with the un-assembled pages spread out, awaiting attention. Each stack is one month, 500 pages.

And, now, i must get back to my sewing machine.  Those Christmas jammies aren’t going to sew themselves.

Here are your Friday Features for today:

From Designer Digitals, how to put a spotlight on your photo.

From Little Blue Boo, a few quick tips for your holiday photo taking.

Every year, we bring out our huge tub of collected through the years LEGO bricks.  Here’s a post with some links for making fun Christmas items with all those little pieces.

And, finally, this will bring tears to your eyes, as you see the photographs of grooms seeing their brides for the first time at their wedding.  The theological point of the article gave me chills.

All we could ever imagine, could ever hope for, He is… He is the Prince of Peace whose first coming has already transformed society but whose second coming will forever establish justice and righteousness. All this, and infinitely more, alive in an impoverished baby in a barn. That is what Christmas means – to find in a place where you would least expect to find anything you want, everything you could ever want.
